From the North

Welcome to the month of December, and as such the Christmas holiday season is now upon us. Christmas tree lots will now start to sprout up throughout the Bay Area and the shopping malls will become crowded with shoppers trying to find that “perfect” present for one and all. I especially look forward to seeing the variety of Christmas lights and Christmas displays in my local neighborhood.

Besides the Christmas holiday, December marks the end of the 2017 calendar year. It is at this time that we reflect on all of the events of 2017 and look forward to 2018 and what new adventures the New Year may bring.

December also marks the end of my term as Master of the Lodge. Worshipful Eckstein has been elected to the office of Master and installed on December 2, 2017. I wish Worshipful Eckstein, as well as his officers’ line, best wishes for a successful year in 2018.

At the time of this writing, this would have been my final article as Master. I want to offer my thanks and appreciation to all of the brethren that supported me during my term. I also want to thank each and every member of my officer’s line, with their continued support, we were able to host several degrees and a variety of special events in 2017. Being Master this last year has been an unforgettable experience for me. I will now retire to the “office" of Past Master and look forward to sitting on the sidelines of the Lodge. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2018.
