Warren J. Blomseth, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge Of California Transitions To The Celestial


Bro. Warren J. Blomseth joined Dimond Lodge in November of


1951 and was raised to Master Mason in April of 1952. He was installed as Master of Dimond Lodge No. 603 in 1962.

In 1980 Dimond No. 603, Lake Shore No. 551 & Lake Chabot No. 770 merged to form Tri-Square Lodge No. 551.

Bro. Blomseth served as Grand Master in 1993-1994 and served as Grand Treasurer from 2002-2005.

In 1997 Tri-Square No. 551 and Crow Canyon No. 569 merged to form Crow Canyon No. 551.

Bro. Blomseth received his Golden Veteran’s Award (50 years a Mason) in 2002. He was honored as “Mason of the Year” in 2005 by the Grand Lodge of California.

His introduction to Freemasonry came in 1944 as a member of Fruitvale Chapter, Order of DeMolay. followed by Master Councilor and Advisor, honored with the Chevalier and Legion of Honor and as a trustee of the California DeMolay Foundation.

Bro. Blomseth retired to Arizona but remained a member, in good standing in Crow Canyon No. 551 (65 years) and the Northern California Research Lodge until he “passed to the other shore” on January 6th of this year.
