Brethren and Families:
During our last Stated Meeting dinner, I had the honor, acting on behalf of the Worshipful Master, to call up two individuals to the front dining room podium to present them our Masonic “Application for Degrees”. You have likely seen them recently attending our Stated Meeting dinners, getting to know the lodge members. Their names are Nicolas Nelson (A Chiropractor practicing in Hayward) and Tramaine Ellison (A Surveyor for ACPW).
In other news, the ‘Rod and Gun Club’ met on Saturday April 14th, and at that meeting we discussed ways in which we can improve and grow the group, such as:
A Hunter Safety course at the Lodge that will be on June 9-10th from 9 AM – 2 PM. The cost will be $20 per person. This event is open to lodge affiliated; Job’s Daughters, DeMolay, and Boy Scouts.
A Deep-Sea Fishing excursion out of Half Moon Bay and will run $100 for the day, this will be scheduled for July.
The group will be researching Fly Fishing at Knights Ferry (and River Rafting?); with possible lunch or joint venture with Oak Summit 112 Masonic lodge in that area.
A meeting invitation will be sent to the Livermore Aahmes Rod and Gun Club.
Next meeting has been moved from May 12th, to May 5th due to the Rodeo Parade.
Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade “We Ride Together” will be on May 12th, 2018 from 10 AM to High Noon. DeMolay is looking to enter the Masonic Home’s float for this event. Hope to see them and some brothers there! Please contact me for more info.
Rowell Ranch Rodeo will be on May 19-20th. We will again have a booth for the “Child ID” event and can always use volunteers. Not only is it a great cause, but it is always a kick trying to get them to sit a spell for their pics and prints. Please contact me for more info.
With the month of May being one with five Thursdays, we can look forward to the return of the well-attended “Potluck” dinner on May 31. The type of dish to bring will depend on your last name and will be as follows: A-K = Desserts, L-S = Hot Meals, and T-Z = Cold Dishes. The Lodge will add Top Sirloin Roast Beef to the table. This is a fun event folks, so please plan on attending!
