Brethren:
September, again, was a busy month. We presented the Child ID program at the Castro Valley Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday 9/7-9/8. We provided ID scans for over 300 children to their appreciative parents. Our Annual Lodge Picnic at the Golden Gate Steamers facility in Tilden Park was attended by more than 50 members and their families. We sure enjoyed the fellowship, the train rides, and Executive Chef Roy Tamez’ BBQ Tri Tip!
We will hold a 1st degree on 10/24 for Mr. Ted Rucker. Please remember a lite dinner is served at 6:30PM and Lodge opens at 7PM. Please make an effort to attend and see the Officers working in their advanced stations.
This month the 170th Annual Grand Lodge Communication opens for registration Thursday 10/17, Legislative session and committee reports are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, 10/18 & 19, and Sunday is the installation of the Grand Lodge Officers. To view this year’s legislation log into the Grand Lodge website and go to:
Lodge is dark on Thursday, 10/17, per CMC, for Grand Lodge and will also be Dark on Thursday 10/31 for Halloween as most of the officers will be home with their families.
The visitation, which was scheduled for 10/12, has been cancelled for lack of interest by the membership.
Watch the calendar on our website (www.ccl551.org) and the Lodge App on your smartphone for the latest developments. In addition to the Lodge calendar you can also see what the members are doing like the big catch of the Sportsmen’s Club Fishing Trip on 9/22. Everyone caught their limit and had a great time. If you have not installed the Crow Canyon Lodge App on your iPhone or Android phone do the following: On your phone go to http://ourapp.link/crow-canyon then follow the instructions.
I look forward to seeing you in Lodge.
