Brethren and Families,
May has been an outstanding month for Crow Canyon Lodge, filled with fellowship, service, and growth within our Craft.
On May 23rd, we partnered with the Red Cross to host a Blood Drive at the lodge. The event was a tremendous success, resulting in 25 units of blood collected, including donations from seven CC-551 Masons, along with many members of our local community.
It was encouraging to speak with several of the donors, many of whom showed genuine interest in our lodge, and our Masonic history within the community. Events like these remind us that service to others remains one of the greatest ways we can strengthen both our fraternity and our community. I look forward to helping organize another successful drive next year.
On May 28th, we proudly held our third double conferral of the Entered Apprentice Degree this year. Please join me in welcoming our newest Brothers, Brother Dennis Sumague and Brother Fabian Montoya.
As these new Brothers begin their Masonic journey, we look forward to supporting and guiding them through the lessons, traditions, and personal growth that Masonry encourages. Every new Brother strengthens our lodge and reinforces the bond we all share within the Craft. “Behold how good and Pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”.
We closed out the month on May 30th with our White Table Night at the Zephyr Grill in Livermore. Our private use of the ‘Vintage Room’ created an elegant and dignified atmosphere that perfectly complemented the evening. The event was very well attended and filled with the spirit of fellowship that makes our fraternity so special.
Conversations flowed easily between lighthearted stories, family life, community service, old lodge memories, and good natured humor. It was an evening defined by friendship, respect, tradition, and laughter.
A sincere thank you goes out to Perry Klahr, Brian Ross, Pat Quinn, and Bill Biddell for organizing such a memorable evening.
If you missed this event, don’t let your hearts be troubled. Looking ahead, we invite all Masons to join us for our Feast of Saint John the Baptist on Saturday the 20th in June. Festivities will begin around 5:00 PM for what promises to be another enjoyable FOSJ evening of fellowship. Be sure to bring your favorite cigar, and as always, if you choose to drink, please do so responsibly. Please contact our Secretary as soon as possible to reserve your seat.
This year continues to progress wonderfully, and we look forward to seeing you and your loved ones again soon. As always, if someone you know is interested in Masonry, feel free to invite him to a lodge dinner (on us), and introduce him to the fellowship of CC-551.
Lastly, please remember that I am always available should you or your family have any questions, ideas, or concerns. Email is best for non-urgent matters, or feel free to call and leave a message.
