It seems that the coronavirus is on everyone’s mind these days. I have never seen anything like this. These are the times that we as Masons can stand together (6 feet apart) and extend a helping hand.
I sent out an e-mail to everyone that is on our email list informing them of the cancelation of the lodge Stated Meeting dinner on April 2nd, the 50- year pin on April 4th and the Potluck on the 30th. I was looking forward to getting my 50-year pin this month and celebrating with my brothers, but it will have to wait for a month or two. No one has any idea what May will bring. We will all do what we have to in order to survive though these trying times. Our Public Schools month celebration, normally in April, will most likely be delayed as well.
I sent out 9 past due notices for members who have not paid the 2019 and 2020. It is my hope that we will not have to suspend anyone this year. So check your dues receipt and make sure you are current.
While we are physically away from each other, we can still enjoy the little blessings . . . I love seeing the sun still shining at 7:00 PM. I hope all of my brothers enjoy it as much. I look forward to the time when I can again see you at lodge, in the meantime stay vigilant, stay informed, and stay safe.
