Brethren: August promises to be a busy month at the lodge as the officers prepare to move up the line in earnest and lodge events start to pick up going into the fall. The fun kicks off with our Stated Meeting on August 1, 2019 (pork ribs, chicken & sausage links) , the Hiram Award Ceremony follows on August 10, 2019, then a White Table Night (prime rib) will be held on August 17, 2019, and last but not the least – our Potluck (base – Johnnie’s Pork Chops and chicken) on August 29, 2019. The menu for the White Table Night will be announced at the August Stated Meeting. The fee is $40.00 per person and each and every one of our 551 family members (adults) is invited and encouraged to attend. I have arranged a live band! Obviously, the more that do attend the easier it will be to justify the expense – so call me and reserve your spot early - my cellular telephone number - (510) 331-6935.
In the coming months we have the Lodge Picnic (September 14, 2019) and, according to Worshipful Robert - a chili cook off might be in the works!
Potluck suggestions: attendees bring the following based on the first letter of their last name: A-H – Salad or Appetizer; I-Q – Main Course; P-Z - Dessert. Cheers!
The bottom line is - there are plenty of opportunities this month for refreshment brothers – please take advantage of these opportunities to attend lodge. Better yet, bring a brother who hasn’t attended lodge in a while to show him
