Life is full of disappointments, and the best made plans can oft gang awry. This is just part of living. Its important when we are faced with unexpected and undesired changes that we look past our initial disappointment or frustration and find the bright side- there is always a silver lining, in even the darkest cloud, if we look hard enough.
I am currently writing this while on a cruise ship, taking a 5 night trip to Bermuda. We had planned the flights, the excursion day pass to a Bermudian resort, and were looking forward to checking one more place off of our world visit list. Then, the night before our flight, we received notice, that the itinerary was changed due to concerns about the weather. So, now, I am cruising to Canada instead. Now granted, there may not be beautiful sunny beaches and blue waters to splash in... but hey, we have never been to Saint James, New Brunswick either.
So, we wrangled our plans around, made some new ones, and are now relaxing and cruising still, having fun and looking forward to making some stained glass and checking out the fall foliage and reversing falls.
Plus, I won't need to wear sunscreen!
So, try to enjoy what life gives you, or at least make the best of it, and roll with the punches.
Happy October, brethren!
...now I am going to go read some more of my book.
