From the West

By Brian Ross — Senior Warden

Brethren,

On Saturday, May 22, 2021, I had the pleasure of going on a day-long fishing trip to the Farallon Islands with brothers Jerry Garcia (Treasurer of the Temple Board), his sister Theresa, Junior Deacon Phil Busch and family, and Worshipful Paul Rodriguez. I am happy to report (as many of you already know) that lots of big rockfish were caught and brought home. Although the fishing was magnificent, It was a treacherous day on the water with huge waves and swells that tortured the meek – but the sun shined and boy is it beautiful out there. Worshipful Paul nabbed the biggest rockfish and we all caught whoppers – or at least that is our story and we are sticking to it!

This was our first Sportsmen’s Club event of the year (although not officially sanctioned by the Lodge). I am considering planning a trip to the Livermore firing range on a Saturday in July. If you are interested, simply call or email me at any time.

You wanted a Sportsmen’s Club – you have one – so please participate! If you don’t – you miss out on an opportunity to bond with our brothers and the fun that we all enjoy.

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
