From the West

By J. E. C. Rafisura — Sr. Warden

Brethren, this new masonic year is up to a fresh start. Your new set of officers are continually planning and anticipating any new health regulations that may come up. However, as of this writing, we are copacetic. I am excited that we have a whole year of activities planned out. Although the situation is very fluid at this time, but we as a fraternity have proven to be very adaptable.

As you may already know, we have our Annual Crab Feed going on in February. This time, we are adding shrimp! A Superbowl Party is also in the calendar, so be on the look-out for fellowships and fun activities.

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of talking to some of our candidate’s coaches. As your Sr. Warden, it is my job to monitor the progress of our brothers who aspire for higher degrees. I am thankful for the dedication of our mentors, to name a few, W.B. Lyman Penning (“Long-form King”), W.B. Bill Ferrell (who was also my awesome former coach), Bro. Eric Korbas and W.B. Ron Katz (“ce-ment-er” of brothers and officers alike). The fraternity will live on for many years due to your dedicated sharing of your time and expertise on the ins and outs of our ancient fraternity. To the “Padawans”, may the force and the spirit of the GAOTU be with you as you pursue your studies. I have no doubt that you will discover more truths as you continue your masonic journey here below in preparation for that grand entrance into the Celestial Lodge above.

If any brothers wish to help or participate in any of our activities or need some assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our numbers are all in the back of this Trestleboard.

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
