Welcome to the month of March. March is named after Mars, the Roman God of War. It was at this time of year that Roman military campaigns resumed after they were paused during the winter months. The month of March marks the arrival of the Vernal Equinox on March 20th which signals that Spring is now upon us. For avid gardeners like myself, it is now time to dust off the shovel, sharpen the hoe, and get to work preparing the soil for Spring planting. Other notable events in March include National Pi Day on March 14th and Saint Patrick's Day on March 17th.
At this time, I want to congratulate Brothers Baron and Johnson on their having received the Second Degree of Masonry last month. I am sure that it was an unforgettable experience for both of them. I enjoyed the opportunity of sitting in the East to perform this double degree event.
In closing, please take note that Daylight Savings Time ends on March 8th. Please remember to advance your clocks ahead one hour.
Until next month, have a pleasant March.
