Masonic Family Corner

By Denise Jow—Past Grand Guide

Bethel One has had a busy month.

It started with the Bethel members participating in the Alden Lane Nursery Scarecrow building contest on October 12th. There were three categories to pick from Traditional, Wizard of OZ or Super hero. Voting ended on October 31st. On October 28th we participated at the Truck or Treat at Las Positas College in Livermore. We decorated our car with a Halloween Peanuts theme which included Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy & Linus, we passed out candy & give about 50 promotion cards to girls & families.

In October we had the Last GGOV for 2025 which was a Halloween Carnival. Twelve Bethels participated with games, treats, costume contest & photo booth. Church Service is planned for November 9th. The Bethel members won their Bethel challenge by getting 3 new members last term & lunch at Ruby & Roses after church service. Please mark your calendars for our Jr. Princess Pancake Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, November 22nd at the Castro Valley Masonic Center (flyer included).

Grand Guardian Council will be held in Visalia this year celebrating 100 years. This is the second year we will have Daughter Delegates voting on our adult leaders and amendments. All 18 and 19 year olds are also encouraged to register as voting delegates. We want to hear their voices.

We are proud of these Job’s Daughters for attending the session and participating in this new process.

Bethel members learned membership skills at our Boot camp to invite their friends to our activities. We had at least one friend attend each activity in October! We are so proud of our members for telling their friends about Job’s Daughters!!

Members are 10 to 20 years old with the opportunity for younger girls to join our Bee Hive and become JD to Bees. If you would like more information on attending our activities or joining our Bethel please contact us at our Bethel email: Bethel1@cajdi.org.

Wishing everyone Happy Thanksgiving!

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
